Jilin foreign affairs office prepares for CNEA Expo

The Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province is going full out to prepare for the 12th China-Northeast Asia Expo – also known as the CNEA Expo -- which will be held in Changchun on Aug 23-27, according to officials.

Yang kexin, deputy director of the office, gave details of the preparations for the event during a news briefing on Aug 15.

The office has issued invitations to representatives of foreign countries and regions. It has invited delegations from more than 20 countries, including government officials and top executives of leading companies.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Affairs Office said it had also participated in the organization of several key activities to be held during the expo, including a Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Roundtable which will be attended by around 220 people.

This event will include government leaders from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia and Russia, who will discuss issues like infrastructure, energy, trade, tourism, environmental protection and other important areas.

More activities, including a “Czech Republic day”, an exhibition of commodities from the Czech Republic, as well as the 8th Northeast Asia international calligraphy, painting, and photography exhibition, have also been organized by the office.

In addition, the office will offer translation and reception services during the CNEA Expo.
