Nuclear power

CGN provides professional services for key components in the nuclear power industrial chain, including nuclear fuel, engineering design, technology research and development, engineering construction, and daily operations.

As of the end of 2019, our nuclear power has a total in-service installed capacity of 27.14GW (accounting for 55.7% percent of the Chinese mainland), ranking first in China and in the top five internationally.

CGN, boasting a total installed capacity of 5.78 GW under construction or with approval for construction (accounting for 42.2 percent in the Chinese mainland), is the largest nuclear power constructor in the world.

We own a listed platform of nuclear power business, CGN Power (01816.HK), which is the world’s sole listed company purely dedicated to nuclear power generation.

Nuclear fuel

Established on Aug 15, 2006 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of CGN, CGNPC Uranium Resources Co.Ltd supplies nuclear fuel and technological services for NPP in a full life-cycle worldwide. As a professional supplier of nuclear fuel, it provides nuclear power stations with economical and reliable natural uranium, front-end products and services of nuclear fuel cycle, and reprocessing services.

New energy

Listed in Hong Kong in October 2014 (stock code:1811.HK), CGN New Energy Holdings Co Ltd is CGN’s sole global platform that develops and operates power generation projects using non-nuclear clean and renewable energy.

Businesses: wind power, solar power, hydro power, gas-fired power, biomass power, oil-fired power, combined heat and power, and fuel cell power generation.

Presence: China’s 29 provinces and regions and foreign countries including South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

It has 8,843 MWof aggregate overseas installed capacity.

Financial

CGN Capital Holdings Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CGN, was set up on Feb 3, 2015, with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan and a net asset of 8.16 billion yuan.

It supplies finance services, including fund settlement, management risk of debt, credit financing, financial asset management, investment banking, insurance brokerage, financial leasing, direct investment as well as centralized management of domestic and foreign funds.

Nuclear technology

CGN Nuclear Technology Application Co., Ltd. is an industrialization platform the CGN built on June 23, 2011 to develop strategic industries in non-power nuclear technology applications, with a registered capital of 748.9 million yuan. It owns 25 independent legal-person enterprises.

With its three core businesses of electron accelerators manufacturing, radiation processing services and modified polymer products, it is China’s biggest all-in-one solution provider of electron accelerators, irradiation services and irradiation modified materials.
