CNPC Economics and Technology Research Institute is directly under China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). It is mainly engaged in trend analysis and strategy research on the development of petroleum industry, petroleum science and technology, oil economy, oil market, overseas investment environment, and relevant policies and regulations, providing a wide range of energy information consulting services. Its predecessor was Science and Technology Information Institute of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry.
