In recent years, Jinchengjiang district in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has invested a total of 9.6 million yuan ($1.36 million) in its poverty alleviation work.

Photovoltaic power generation equipment with an installed capacity of 20 kilowatts was built for each of the 48 poverty-stricken villages in the district, and all joined the national electricity grid.

The project was completed at the end of June 2017. By October 2019, electric energy production totaled 215.08 kilowatt hours, increasing the collective income of all the impoverished villages by 1.55 million yuan.
