Crude oil futures opened lower Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for May delivery was down 10.3 yuan (about 1.47 U.S. dollars) to open at 365 yuan a barrel.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investors, in March 2018.
