Crude oil futures opened higher Tuesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for June delivery was up 13 yuan (about 1.83 U.S. dollars) to open at 298 yuan a barrel.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investors, in March 2018.
