China's crude oil output rose 2.4 percent year on year to 48.57 million tonnes in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, official data showed.
During the same period, China processed about 149.28 million tonnes of crude oil, down 4.6 percent year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In March, China's crude oil output edged down 0.1 percent year on year to 16.56 million tonnes, and the country processed about 50.04 million tonnes of crude oil, down 6.6 percent.
In the first three months, China imported 127.19 million tonnes of crude oil, rising 5 percent year on year.
