China's annual National Energy Efficiency Promotion Week will run from June 29 to July 5, with July 2 set as National Low-Carbon Day, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said Friday.
This year's promotion week will include campaigns aimed at raising public awareness for energy conservation and enhancing energy efficiency, according to a circular jointly issued by 14 central departments, including NDRC and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
National Low-Carbon Day will also see a series of campaigns to promote the low-carbon way of life.
Activities will mainly take place online due to COVID-19 prevention-and-control measures, according to the circular.
National Energy Efficiency Promotion Week has been an annual event since 1991, and the National Low-carbon Day was first observed in 2013.
