China Taiyuan coal transaction price index down 0.18 pct

Release Date:2020-08-04 16:38:52     Source:Xinhua

China Taiyuan coal transaction price index stood at 125.29 points Monday, down 0.18 percent week on week.

The index, released by China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center (CTCTC) based in Shanxi, a coal-rich province, reflects the coal price levels and changes in the main production areas of China. It is published every Monday.

Analysts said that continuously affected by the hydropower generation, thermal power plants have limited daily consumption increase, resulting in inactive purchase intention for power companies. In addition, the relatively high port inventories made traders cautious about the future market, so some coal prices have declined slightly.

With more than 10,000 registered coal traders, the CTCTC is the largest coal trading center in China.
