The 2nd World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC 2020) commencedon Sunday in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, focusing onsustainable, healthy, intelligent and integrated development of the new energyvehicle (NEV) industry.
Themed "Join hands in tiding over difficulties, cross-sectorintegration, and win-win cooperation," the four-day event, with Germany asGuest of Honor, will feature two plenary meetings, thematic summits, and twoforums on Sino-German cooperation of NEVs, as well as cross-sectorcollaboration for vehicle electrification and medium- and long-termdevelopment.
Five online summits were held on the first day of this year'sWNEVC, with experts and industry leaders from home and abroad discussingvarious topics on cutting-edge technologies related to the NEV industry,including hydrogen storage, software, power exchanges and big dataapplications.
The first session of WNEVC was held last July in Hainan's Bo'ao,with more than 1,500 entrepreneurs, experts, scholars, and governmentrepresentatives, as well as over 100 NEV-related enterprises across the worldin attendance.
The WNEVC 2020 is jointly hosted by the China Association forScience and Technology, the Hainan provincial government, the Ministry ofScience and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,and the State Administration for Market Regulation, and co-organized by theGerman Association of the Automotive Industry.
