The electricity generated and received in State Grid's operating areas saw positive year-on-year growth at the end of August, the first time in 2020.
The electricity generated and received in State Grid's operating areas hit 3,516.407 terawatt hours (TWh) at the end of August, up 1.09 TWh or 0.03 percent over the same period last year.
Electricity consumption data, the barometer of national economy, has been rising vigorously, reflecting the good momentum of the smooth work resumption and growth momentum, the State Grid said in a statement.
Inter-provincial electricity transaction of August in State Grid's operating areas reached 129 TWh, a year-on-year growth of 15.7 percent.
