China Coal Group is a large energy company mainly specializing in coal production which is the only one enterprise in China possessing the comprehensive industry chain comprising coal mine design, coal mine construction, coal mining equipment manufacturing, coal mining, washing and processing, coal chemical industry, pit-mouth power generation as well as coal and chemical products business and trade.
Possessing a total annual coal production capacity of 300 million tons, China Coal Group has more than 70 coal mines which are under operation and construction. The coal resource reserve of China Coal Group amounts to nearly 60 billion tons. The equity production capacity of the coal chemical products approaches around 10 million tons which mainly comprise olefin, methanol, urea, ammonium nitrate, coke, etc. Among the coal chemical projects owned by China Coal Group, Tuke Large Granular Urea project is the largest enterprise in terms of a single plant size in China. There are 34 power plants in operation and under construction in China Coal Group with the holding installed capacity of 9.86 million kilowatts. The coal mining equipment manufacturing enterprises rank No.1 in coal mining equipment industry and take leading positions in technical level and market share nationally. The coal mine construction and design enterprises are elite professionals in coal mining construction in China and represent the industry's highest level. At the end of 2018, China Coal Group realized an operating revenue of RMB150.2 billion and 130,000 employees.The strategic vision of China Coal Group is to build itself into a clean energy supplier and a comprehensive service provider with relatively strong international competitiveness. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China Coal Group will follow the guideline of the strategy of Supplier and Provider, abide by the principle of Seeking Progress while Maintaining Stability, pursue the "12355" development ideas, make efforts to build the coal-based new business form of circular economy incorporating coal production, coal-based chemical and power generation.
