China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute is a public institution that survived in power system reform in December, 2002, which was approved by the State Council. It was under the jurisdiction of National Energy Administration and the Ministry of Water Resources before and is now managed by Power Construction Corporation of China. Its duties include centralized management of hydropower, wind power, and solar photovoltaic power generation technology.
