China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC), a centrally affiliated enterprise under the management of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, is a comprehensive engineering consulting company in China and a consulting service provider for the scientific decision-making for the investment and construction projects initiated by the central government. It has a registered capital of RMB 520 million.
It holds Class-A certificates for engineering consulting, construction supervision, project tendering, and project cost estimation; and is certified to ISO14000 and OHSAS18000. It has a complete quality management system that covers its entire business structure. It is registered with a number of international financial organizations such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Since its establishment in 1982, CIECC has been playing an important role in the decision-making and implementation process of the central government for major construction projects and provided a large amount of consulting service to local governments, enterprises, and various other customers. By the end of 2016, it has completed a total of more than 40,000 consulting projects which involved a total investment of over RMB 65 trillion, cutting nearly RMB 3 trillion from the original cost. Among these projects, there are the West-to-East Gas Transmission project, West-to-East Power Transmission project, South-to-North Water Diversion project, Farmland-to-Forest Conversion project, the Beijing- Shanghai high-speed railway, the relocation of Shougang Group, the construction of Olympic venues, million-ton ethylene projects, 10-million-ton oil refining projects, mega-kilowatt ultra-supercritical power plants, large aircraft projects, manned space missions, the lunar exploration project, 10 major industrial restructuring and reinvigorating projects, the development of strategic emerging industries, national ecological protection and improvement, the Belt and Road Initiative and relevant connectivity projects, West China Development, Northeast China reinvigoration, development of Xinjiang and Tibet, follow-up work of the Three Gorges project, post-disaster reconstruction planning in Wenchuan and Yushu, etc. These are all projects highly relevant to national development and people's well-being and they showcase the comprehensive strength of China. By participating in them, CIECC has made great contribution to the economic development and social progress in China.
