China's Natural Gas Industry Association is a professional nonprofit organization that serves upstream, midstream and downstream natural gas enterprises, institutions and research institutions. Its business covers conventional natural gas, unconventional natural gas (coalbed methane and shale gas), synthetic natural gas, and biogas. Its operation is guided by National Development and Reform Commission, National Energy Administration, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
