Ratiu Center for Democracy is a nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization.
[Background]
With the transformation of Romania came change within the not-for-profit community, which has become more focused and shifted from grass root projects to more oriented, policy changing or challenging activities. Ratiu Center for Democracy developed three areas of expertise: public participation, human rights and youth engagement, the later becoming a more permanent interest.
