Morocco and Djibouti on Monday have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of energy and mineral resources in Morocco's capital of Rabat.
Signed by Moroccan Minister of Energy, Mining and Environment Aziz Rabbah and his Djibouti counterpart Yonis Ali Guedi, the agreement aims at developing bilateral cooperation, in particular between stakeholders and investors of the two countries in the energy and mining sectors.
Rabbah told the journalists after the signing ceremony that the two countries share broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, electricity, geology, mining, technical cooperation and human resources training.
The agreement is part of Morocco's special interest in cooperation with African countries and supporting the sustainable development of the continent, he added.
For his part, Ali Guedi said that his country seeks to benefit from the Moroccan expertise in energy and mining which could contribute to the development of renewable energy in Djibouti.
