Israel will build its largest solar power plant, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday.
The new power plant, which will be located near the southern city of Dimona, is expected to cover three square km, 2.5 times larger than the present largest solar power plant in the southern Negev Desert.
The new power plant will generate electricity using photovoltaic technology, with a capacity of about 300 megawatts.
Construction of the station is expected to begin in late 2021 and be completed in 2023.
