Poland and France are considering potential cooperation post-Brexit in areas including the construction of a nuclear power plant and high-speed railways, Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller said here on Tuesday at the end of French President Emmanuel Macron's two-day official visit.

"France and Poland have several (common) interests. One of them is definitely the issue of building a nuclear power plant. France is a tycoon in this area, over 70 percent of its energy is obtained (from nuclear)," the government spokesman said, according to the Polish Press Agency.

He said that no decision has yet been made regarding the joint construction by Poland and France of a nuclear reactor, as Poland is also negotiating with the U.S. and Japan.

High-speed rail could be another area of potential cooperation in the context of building the Central Transportation Port, a major infrastructure project designed to integrate air, rail and road transport in central Poland.
