The International Gas Union Research Conference 2020 kicked off in Oman on Monday.
According to a press release by Oman Liquefied Natural Gas company (Oman LNG), which hosts the event, the Monday sessions covered several topics including manufacturing and supplying of gas, various gas uses, gas pipeline distribution, as well as environment and sustainability.
In his opening speech, the Omani Minister of Oil and Gas Mohammed Al-Rumahi said, "This conference is an opportunity to meet with experts from different parts of the world to discuss the challenges facing the gas industry and to exchange the latest modern technical methods in this field."
The three-day event will see the participation of 350 participants from 30 countries.
