Iran halted the operation of Bushehr nuclear power plant for periodic maintenance, Tasnim news agency reported Monday.
Bushehr nuclear power plant has been shut down for an overhaul operation, inspection and fuel reloading, said Reza Banazadeh, the head of the nuclear plant.
The 1,000-megawatt power plant was completed by Russia in May 2011.
