Iran and Qatar on Friday agreed to increase energy cooperation despite the novel coronavirus pandemic, Iranian state TV reported.
In a video conference meeting, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian and Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari discussed joint investments in energy projects.
The meeting had originally been planned for early April in Iran's central city of Isfahan but was delayed because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The two sides agreed to hold further meetings to discuss remaining details about joint energy and investment projects and to finalize the documents as soon as the coronavirus pandemic is under control and the economic situation back to normal.
Iran and Qatar share a giant natural gas condensate field in the South Pars/North Dome field located in the Gulf.
