The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported an increase of 1.75 million barrels of crude oil in the U.S. crude oil inventories for the week ending June 19.
API reported an increase of 3.9 million barrels of crude oil inventories for the previous week ending June 12 while the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a rise of 1.2 million barrels.
U. S. oil prices declined on Tuesday. The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for August delivery lost 36 cents to settle at 40.37 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
