U.S. crude oil production was unchanged during the week ending July 3, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.
According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production averaged 11.0 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, the same as previous week and down by 1.3 million b/d this time last year.
U.S. became a world important oil producer in the past years with the help of its shale oil production growth. Meanwhile, China continues to be one of the biggest oil consumer of the world.
According to the latest release from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics, China's crude oil production in May reached 16.46 million tons, an increase of 1.3 percent from this time last year.
