Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud discussed the upcoming Group of 20 summit, the fight against COVID-19 and oil output deals on Monday over phone, according to the Kremlin.
While discussing the preparations for the G20 summit, the leaders touched upon the collective efforts to overcome the negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on the world economy, the Kremlin said in a press release.
According to the press release, they also discussed Putin's initiative to create "green corridors" for the mutual supplies of medicines, food, equipment and technology, paying particular attention to the prospects for the joint production of a COVID-19 vaccine developed by Russia.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of the implementation of the agreements on oil output reductions reached by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and non-alliance producers, the Kremlin added.
