Namibia's Ministry of Mines and Energy on Tuesday announced that the suspension of applications for new fuel retail and wholesale licenses has been lifted, effective March 2.
The ministry said in a statement that it has reviewed the licensing procedures and requirements for granting fuel retail and wholesale licenses, as provided for in the Petroleum Products and Energy Regulations, of 2000.
"The new requirements, guidelines and application forms can be obtained at the directorate of petroleum affairs at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and is also available on the ministry's website," they added.
Namibia's Ministry of Mines and Energy had extended the temporary suspension from Dec. 31, 2020, on the application of new fuel retail sites and the issuing of wholesale licenses to Feb. 28, 2021.
