The 41st Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), one of the world's largest energy events, opened on Monday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, drawing more than 205,000 participants from around the world to discuss the future of energy and sustainable development.
UAE's Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said in opening remarks that Abu Dhabi's hosting of ADIPEC underscores the UAE's global role in shaping energy dialogue and promoting cooperation on energy security and sustainability.
He highlighted the UAE's model of balancing economic growth with environmental protection, supported by investments in technology, clean energy, and innovation. Mansour also reiterated the country's commitment to a balanced energy transition through international partnerships that foster economic growth and research collaboration.
The 2025 edition features over 2,250 exhibitors across 17 halls and four specialized zones covering artificial intelligence and digital transformation, decarbonisation, maritime and logistics, and a new chemicals and low-carbon solutions area. Organisers said the event reflects the accelerating global shift toward sustainable and innovative energy systems.
