China Energy Engineering Corp (CEEC) has won a bid to take over the operation of a power station in Bangladesh, according to a report from the Hong Kong Economic Times.
CEEC will take charge of the operation, maintenance and training of operators at the plant, located in the city of Sylhet, in northeast Bangladesh. The power plant is to be upgraded from a capacity of 150 megawatts (MW) to 250 MW.
CEEC operates five electric power plants in Bangladesh now.
