The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a build of 1.250 million barrels in the U.S. crude oil inventories for the week ending Sept. 14.
The institute reported a large draw of 8.636 million barrels in the oil inventories for the previous week.
U.S. oil price gained 1.4 percent on Tuesday on unlikely production expansion from OPEC members.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for October delivery increased 0.94 U.S. dollar to settle at 69.85 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
