The 26th International Caspian Oil & Gas-2019 Exhibition and Conference got underway here on Wednesday, with more than 250 companies from over 30 countries displaying their products and services, according to the state-run news agency AZERTAC.
The exhibition features a wide range of sections, including geophysics and geology, construction and exploitation of oil and gas wells, platforms and floating rigs, pipe-laying and pipeline security systems, refining and petrochemicals, and hydrocarbons transportation.
Chinese technology giant Huawei showcases its integrated solutions for telecommunication networks, information technologies, smart devices and cloud technologies.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said the exhibition had been bringing together key global energy market players for 26 years.
Belarus, Russia and Germany have national stands at the exhibition, while newcomers make 24 percent of all exhibitors, including companies from Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Monaco, the Netherlands and India.
The four-day exhibition is organized by Iteca Caspian and its partner ITE Group in partnership with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy and State oil company, SOCAR.
