Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih al-Najjari said that Egypt is ready to offer its support in the fields of power and electricity to Lebanon, the National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
"This is a field where Egypt has a big expertise as the country was capable of increasing its electricity production from 24,000 megawatts to 50,000 megawatts," the ambassador was quoted as saying at a ceremony held in Beirut on the occasion of Egypt's National Day.
Najjari said that Egypt is currently holding talks with Lebanese officials on cooperation in power and gas sectors.
